Equipment Inspections

The equipment inspections section allows a user to create and record a equipment inspection. Equipment Inspections can be created from a company equipment inspection.

Safetynet allows a your companies staff to setup a specific equipment inspection for equipment your company use, equipment inspections can be created from default equipment inspections.

Once a equipment inspection is submitted:

  1. An email can be sent to the person in charge of the equipment inspections. (For more information about email alerts check the email alerts section of the manual)
  2. Tasks that are marked as requiring attention are added to a maintenance report, once the inspection is submitted.
  3. Safety Net Statistics are updated for number of equipment inspections completed for companies, and employees.

Maintenance Report Creation

Maintenance Reports are created for tasks that require attention, once a equipment inspection is submitted to R & T Electric Pro. The following reports also create maintenance reports when submitted:

  1. Vehicle Inspections
  2. Personal Protective Equipment Inspections
  3. Equipment Inspections
  4. First Aid Kit Inspections
  5. Fire Extinguisher Inspections

Safety Net Smartphone application allows field staff to complete equipment inspections in the field and submit them to the system. For information about completing a equipment inspection through the Smartphone click here.

Configuring how often Equipment Inspections are to Occur

How often equipment inspections must occur is a function of your companies policy regarding equipment inspections. To configure Safety Net for how often equipment inspections should occur can be configured in the company safety settings.

Management, Office Staff and Safety Officers can edit how often equipment inspections should occur in the Company section when they edit the Company Safety settings. For more information about configuring your company safety settings in this manual click here to view the company section.

Creating Company Equipment Inspection

The Company Equipment Inspections section allows companies to develop the equipment inspections documents for equipment the company uses on a regular basis, without having to carry out a equipment inspection. 1.Search Equipment Inspection

Equipment inspections can be searched by a combination of customer and submission status. Users can narrow search results by choosing any combination of the two search criteria.

All search results can be sorted by clicking on the results headings Date, Inspection Name, Conducted By, and Inspection Time. Clicking on the same heading can do switching the results order from ascending to descending.

2.Delete Equipment Inspection

Deleting equipment inspections may have to be done if the equipment inspection was added to the system incorrectly. Only equipment inspections that have not been reviewed by management can be deleted.

To delete a equipment inspections click the 'Delete' link of the equipment inspection you want to delete.

3.Add Equipment Inspection

To add a Equipment Inspection, click on the 'Add Equipment Inspection' link.

On the next screen, under Add Equipment Inspection heading, select:

Fields

Conducted By: By selecting a employee from the conducted by select box users can choose whom conducted the equipment inspection. On the add equipment inspection you can choose any active employee from the company.

Date: The equipment inspection date is the day the equipment inspection was carried out. The format of this field is YYYY-MM-DD.

Inspection Time: By selecting a inspection from the select box, which loads with pre work or post work.

Company Equipment Inspection: By selecting a company equipment inspection from the company equipment inspection select box users can choose equipment inspection of the company.

Note: Companies create equipment inspections for equipment they would like staff to complete equipment inspections for. For more information about create company equipment inspections click here

Then click the 'Add Equipment Inspection' button. The edit equipment inspection screen will load. From here, proceed to edit as per the instructions below.

4.Look up Equipment Inspection

To get to the edit screen of a equipment inspection, click on the date of the equipment inspection that you would like to edit.

To view the html version equipment inspection report in click on the 'Html view' link of the equipment inspection you would like to view.

From each html view you can also open the PDF version of the report by clicking on the PDF link on the top of the page.

To view a printable document file (PDF) view of the equipment inspection report, click on the 'PDF view' link of the appropriate equipment inspection report.

5.Edit Equipment Inspection

Once the edit equipment inspection screen

Fields

Conducted By: By selecting a employee from the conducted by select box users can choose whom conducted the equipment inspection. On the add equipment inspection you can choose any active employee from the company.

Date: The equipment inspection date is the day the equipment inspection was carried out. The format of this field is YYYY-MM-DD.

Inspection Time: By selecting a inspection from the select box, which loads with pre work or post work.

Equipment: By selecting a equipment from the equipment select box users can choose equipment from companies list of equipment.

Equipment Name: Allows the user to input a equipment name of the equipment. The character limit of this field is 250.

Equipment Code: Allows the user to input a equipment code of the equipment. The character limit of this field is 250.

Click the 'Save Equipment Inspection' button to ensure that any information changed is saved in the system.

6.Edit Equipment Inspection Details

Once the edit equipment inspection screen

Click the Load Edit Equipment Details button, this loads the edit equipment detail screen

Fields

Checked Flag: Allows the user to select the condition from the select box of the equipment inspection detail.

Comments: Allows the user to input comments about the condition or deficiencies of the equipment inspection detail. If Requires attention is selected from the condition field a note must entered describing what requires attention. The character limit of this field is 250.

Once the necessary information has been input, click the 'Edit Equipment Detail' button.

10.Submitting Equipment Inspection

Once a equipment inspection has been completed, it must be submitted for review by management. To do this, click on the 'Submit Equipment Inspection' button.

11.Reviewing Equipment Inspection

Once a equipment inspection has been submitted, management or supervisory staff should review and sign off that the equipment inspection has been completed properly and that issues found can be brought to the attention of the proper personnel.
