Safety Inspection Tasks

Through SafetyNet's company safety inspection tasks section companies can manage the tasks a company wants their staff to inspect on safety inspections.

Safety Inspections are inspections of a job site where work is being performed. Because of this inspections are created for a work order and for a specific date. The inspections include a list of employees working on the job site that day and six separate checklists of tasks for staff to review as part of the inspection. They include:

  1. Personal Protective Equipment
  2. Mobile Equipment
  3. Condition of Hand Tools
  4. Signage
  5. Emergency Precautions
  6. Housekeeping

Companies should customize their list of inspection tasks based on the issues that arise the most for your company.

When a safety inspection is created the active safety inspection tasks will be added to the inspection for users to check as part of their inspection.

Companies can choose to add inspection tasks from SafetyNets library of Default Safety Inspection tasks, these default lists of tasks will evolve from the data supplied by other companies from other industries and your industry. Your company has the option to only add inspection tasks from your own list of needs.

To view how your companies' safety inspection will appear with all active inspection tasks, click the "Company Safety Inspection" link, which will show what the safety inspection will look like.

The safety inspection section is only available to users that have the safety inspection section turned on for their users group. To change users access to safety inspections, management and office staff can change access in Application Section to view the information about the Application Section Click Here

1.Search Safety Inspection Tasks

Safety inspection tasks can be searched by Active or Inactive. Users can narrow down the search with this search criteria.

2.Delete a Personal Protective Equipment Inspection Task

Deleting a personal protective equipment inspection task may be required if an item was added by mistake. Personal Protective equipment inspection tasks cannot be deleted after a safety inspection has been created with the task on it. Instead of deleting a task after in has been added to a safety inspection, edit the personal protective equipment inspection tasks and set it to inactive.

To remove a personal protective equipment inspection task, click the "Delete" link to the right of the task.

3.Look up Personal Protective Equipment Task

To get to the edit screen of a personal protective equipment inspection task, click on the name of the task you would like to edit.

4.Add or Edit Personal Protective Equipment Inspection Task

The personal protective equipment inspection tasks section allows users to add or edit personal protective equipment inspection tasks of a safety inspection. Personal Protective Equipment inspection tasks should include the personal protective equipment that your company requires on a regular basis and specialized equipment you may use in special cases.

To add a new task click on the "Add Safety Inspection Task" link.

To load a task to edit, click on the personal protective equipment inspection task name.

Once on the add or edit screen.

Fields

Task Name: Allows a user to add/edit the name of the task of the personal protective equipment inspection task. The character limit of this field is 50.

Active: Allows a user to select the active status. Setting a task to inactive will mean, that task will not show up on future safety inspections.

Once the data is input, click the "Save PPE Check Task" button.

5.Delete a Mobile Equipment Inspection Task

Deleting a mobile equipment inspection task may be required if an item was added by mistake. Mobile equipment inspection tasks cannot be deleted after a safety inspection has been created with the task on it. Instead of deleting a task after in has been added to a safety inspection, edit the mobile equipment inspection tasks and set it to inactive.

To remove a mobile equipment inspection task, click the "Delete" link to the right of the task.

6.Look up Company Mobile Equipment Inspection Task

To get to the edit screen of a mobile equipment inspection task, click on the name of the task you would like to edit.

7.Add or Edit Mobile Equipment Inspection Task

The mobile equipment inspection tasks section allows users to add or edit mobile equipment inspection tasks of a safety inspection. Mobile Equipment inspection tasks should include the mobile equipment that your company requires on a regular basis and specialized equipment you may use in special cases.

To add a new task click on the "Add Safety Inspection Task" link.

To load a task to edit, click on the mobile equipment inspection task name.

Once on the add or edit screen.

Fields

Task Name: Allows a user to add/edit the name of the task of the mobile equipment inspection task. The character limit of this field is 50.

Active: Allows a user to select the active status. Setting a task to inactive will mean, that task will not show up on future safety inspections.

Once the information has been edited, click the "Save Mobile Equipment Task" button.

8.Delete a Hand Tool Inspection Task

Deleting a hand tool inspection task may be required if an item was added by mistake. Hand Tool inspection tasks cannot be deleted after a safety inspection has been created with the task on it. Instead of deleting a task after in has been added to a safety inspection, edit the mobile equipment inspection tasks and set it to inactive.

To remove a task, click the “Delete” link to the right of the task.

9.Look up Company Hand Tool Tasks

To get to the edit screen of an hand tool inspection task, click on the name of the task you would like to edit.

10.Add or Edit Hand Tool Inspection Task

The hand tool inspection tasks section allows users to add or edit hand tool inspection tasks of a safety inspection. Hand tool inspection tasks should include the hand tools that your company requires on a regular basis and specialized tools you may use in special cases.

To add a new task click on the "Add Safety Inspection Task" link.

To load a task to edit, click on the hand tool inspection task name.

Once on the add or edit screen.

Task Name: Allows a user to add/edit the name of the task of the hand tool inspection task. The character limit of this field is 50.

Active: Allows a user to select the active status. Setting a task to inactive will mean, that task will not show up on future safety inspections.

Once the information has been edited, click the "Save Hand Tool Inspection Task" button.

11.Delete a Safety Inspection Task

Deleting a safety inspection task may be required if an item was added by mistake. Safety inspection tasks cannot be deleted after a safety inspection has been created with the task on it. Instead of deleting a task after in has been added to a safety inspection, edit the safety inspection tasks and set it to inactive.

To remove a task, click the "Delete" link to the right of the task.

12.Look up Company Safety Inspection Task

To get to the edit screen of an safety inspection task, click on the name of the task you would like to edit.

13.Add or Edit Safety Inspection Task

The safety inspection tasks section allows users to add or edit safety inspection tasks of a safety inspection. Safety inspection tasks should include the general safety tasks required for the job site, ie. First aid personal appointed, MSDS on site, and the safety manual is available.

To add a new task click on the "Add Safety Inspection Task" link.

To load a task to edit, click on the safety inspection task name.

Once on the add or edit screen.

Fields

Task Name: Allows a user to add/edit the name of the task of the safety inspection task. The character limit of this field is 50.

Active: Allows a user to select the active status. Setting a task to inactive will mean, that task will not show up on future safety inspections.

Once the information has been edited, click the "Save Safety Inspection Task" button.

14.Delete a Housekeeping Inspection Task

Deleting a housekeeping inspection task may be required if an item was added by mistake. Housekeeping inspection tasks cannot be deleted after a safety inspection has been created with the task on it. Instead of deleting a task after in has been added to a safety inspection, edit the housekeeping inspection tasks and set it to inactive.

To remove a task, click the "Delete" link to the right of the task.

15.Look up Company Housekeeping Tasks

To get to the edit screen of an housekeeping inspection task, click on the name of the task you would like to edit.

16.Add or Edit Housekeeping Inspection Task

The housekeeping inspection tasks section allows users to add or edit housekeeping inspection tasks of a safety inspection. Housekeeping inspection tasks should include the proper waste facility available and oil and fuel spills.

To add a new task click on the "Add Safety Inspection Task" link.

To load a task to edit, click on the housekeeping inspection task name.

Once on the add or edit screen.

Fields

Task Name: Allows a user to add/edit the name of the task of the housekeeping inspection task. The character limit of this field is 50.

Active: Allows a user to select the active status. Setting a task to inactive will mean, that task will not show up on future safety inspections.

Once the information has been edited, click the "Save Housekeeping Inspection Task" button.

17.Delete a Signage Inspection Task

Deleting a signage inspection task may be required if an item was added by mistake. Signage inspection tasks cannot be deleted after a safety inspection has been created with the task on it. Instead of deleting a task after in has been added to a safety inspection, edit the signage inspection tasks and set it to inactive.

To remove a task, click the "Delete" link to the right of the task.

18.Look up Company Signage Tasks

To get to the edit screen of an signage inspection task, click on the name of the task you would like to edit.

19.Add or Edit Signage Inspection Task

The signage inspection tasks section allows users to add or edit signage inspection tasks of a safety inspection. Signage inspection tasks should include the proper waste facility available and oil and fuel spills.

To add a new task click on the "Add Safety Inspection Task" link.

To load a task to edit, click on the signage inspection task name.

Once on the add or edit screen.

20.Adding Default Safety Inspection Tasks

SafetyNet has developed default safety inspection tasks that can be added to your companies safety inspection.

21.Add Default Personal Protective Equipment Inspection Tasks

An item can be added to the personal protective equipment inspection task by clicking "Add Default Personal Protective Equipment Inspection Task For Company" link to the right of the Task Name.

All of the tasks can be added to the personal protective equipment Inspection form by clicking the "Add All Default Personal Protective Equipment Inspection Tasks for Company" link below the header title.

The form can then be viewed by clicking "Print View" link.

22.Add Default Mobile Equipment Inspection Tasks

An item can be added to the mobile equipment inspection task by clicking "Add Default Mobile Equipment Inspection Task For Company" link to the right of the Task Name.

All of the tasks can be added to the mobile equipment inspection tasks by clicking "Add All Default Mobile Equipment Inspection Task for Company" link below the header title.

The form can be viewed by clicking "Print View" link.

23.Add Default Hand Tool Inspection Tasks

An item can be added to the hand tool Inspection tasks by clicking "Add Default Hand Tool Inspection Task For Company" link.

All of the tasks can be added to the hand tool inspection tasks by clicking "Add All Default Hand Tool Inspection Task For Company" link below the header title.

The form can be viewed by clicking "Print View" link.

24.Add Default Safety Inspection Tasks
