Time Card Settings

Timecard Settings allows companies to manage how their field staff enter and record time against work orders and also for their exposure hours for the field staff"s apprenticeship.

Companies can configure the timecard settings to match their own business practices. Companies can use from one to seven fields assigning names and abbreviations for each field, and if the type of hours count against your company’s exposure hours. Companies can also set each field they use, to either include the hours as part of exposure hours.

Companies can choose from Default Timecard settings..

The time card entry section is only available to users that have the time card entry section turned on for their users group. To change users access to time card entries, management and office staff can change access in Application Section to view the information about the Application Section Click Here

1.Choose from Default Timecard Settings

Once on the timecard settings screen. Click the 'view Default Timecard Settings' link.

The next screen will load with the default timecard settings created by SafetyNet.

To view the html version timecard click on the 'Html' link of the default timecard settings you would like to view.

To view a printable document file (PDF) view of the timecard, click on the 'PDF view' link of the appropriate timecard.

Click the 'Switch Timecard Settings for Company' link to save the timecard your companies new timecard settings.

2.Search Default Timecard Settings

Default timecard settings can be searched by industry type.

Choose a industry type from the select box, populated by industry types.

Click the 'Search' button to search Timecard Settings by industry type.

3.Edit Timecard Settings

Once on the timecard setting screen.

Under the Edit Timecard Settings heading.

SafetyNet"s timecard settings allow companies to use up to seven separate timecard fields. They are all made up of 3 portions

  1. Timecard Field Name
  2. Timecard Field Abbreviation
  3. Count Hours Against Exposure

Fields

Timecard Field Name: The timecard entry date is the day the work was done. The field defaults to the current date. The format of this field is YYYY-MM-DD.

Timecard Field Abbreviation: Selecting a work order from the select box, which loads with a work order number users can choose which work order the timecard entry is for.

Count Hours Against Exposure: Selecting a either count or dont count from the select box. This field also to track hours for employee"s apprenticeship or in the case where Dont Count is selected the hours will not be counted against the employee" exposure hours.

Companies may choose to make hours spent driving or spent in training not count against employee"s exposure hours.

Click the 'Save Timecard Settings' button to save the timecard settings.
