The site orientation section allows field staff to conduct and record a site orientation. Site Orientations can be created from scratch for any job site or based
on a Company Site Orientation. Job Sites can be setup to require employees to complete Site Orientations.
Since each job site is different, safetynet allows a field staff to setup a specific orientation for each job site. Each Site Orientation for a job site
is set up with a number of sections; basic information, site information, introduction to the site, emergency procedures, locations of importance, safety
details, introduction to important staff on site and employees involved in the site orientation.
Configuring Job Site Site Orientation requirement
Job Sites come in all shapes and sizes especially in the service business, it just might not be practical for field staff to complete site orientations for every job site they visit. R & T Electric Pro allows clients to
customize their system to their business situation. To this end R & T Electric Pro allows management, safety officers and office staff to configure Job Sites to require or not to require site orientations. For more

Configuring R & T Electric Pro for how often a Site Orientations should occur
R & T Electric Pro can be configured to match your companies safety policy regarding how often site orientations must occur. This can be configured in the Company Safety Settings section for more information in this
manual click here.
Creating Company Site Orientations for Job Sites
The Company Site Orientation section allows companies to develop the site orientation documents, without having to carry out a
site orientation. For more information about managing company site orientation in this manual click here to view the Company Site Orientation section.

1.Add Site Orientation From Company Site Orientation |
Steps
- From the Main Menu screen, tap the On Site Paperwork button.
- Then tap on the Site Orientation button.
- This opens the Add Site Orientation From Company Site Orientation entry screen.
- Date: The date field allow field staff to choose the date the site orientation occurs.
- Tap the Date field to open the Choose Date screen.
- Scroll the date wheel on the far left of the screen until the desired date is highlighted.
- Return to the Add Site Orientation screen by either tapping Save in the top right corner to select the highlighted date or tapping Cancel in the top left corner to leave the Date: field unchanged.
- Tap the Company Site Orientation field to open the Choose Company Site Orientation screen.
Job Site Names are listed in descending order job site name.
Note: Company Site Orientations by nature will be updated and added to the list all the time, so it may be necessary to update the list click here.
- Scroll the list of job sites until the desired job site is displayed on the screen.
- Tap the desired job site to select it or tap Back in the top left corner to leave the Company Site Orientation field unchanged and return to the Add Site Orientation screen.
- Return to the Add Site Orientation screen by either tapping the appropriate job site or tapping Cancel in the top left corner to leave the Site Orientation field unchanged.
- Tap the + icon in the top right corner to add the Site Orientation.
- A pop-up message that reads Site Orientation Added indicates that the Site Orientation is ready to have details to be entered and checklists of inspection tasks checked off.
- Company Site Orientations with Safety Contact Email address associated with them will automatically set the Safety Contact Email on the new Site Orientation to the given value.

2.Add Site Orientation For Job Site |
Steps

- Then tap on the second tab on the bottom of the screen, this opens the Add Site Orientation For Job Site entry screen.
- Date: The date field allow field staff to choose the date the site orientation occurs.

- Scroll the date wheel on the far left of the screen until the desired date is highlighted.
- Return to the Add Site Orientation screen by either tapping Save in the top right corner to select the highlighted date or tapping Cancel in the top left corner to leave the Date: field unchanged.
- Tap the Job Site field to open the Choose Job Site screen.
Job Site Names are listed in descending order job site name.
Note: Job Sites by nature will be updated and added to the list all the time, so it may be necessary to update the list click here.
To Search Job Sites: Pull down on the list view, the search is defaulted to search by job site name.
The other option for the Job Site search are by customer. Enter your search
criteria and click the Search button.

- Tap the desired job site to select it or tap Back in the top left corner to leave the Company Site Orientation field unchanged and return to the Add Site Orientation screen.
- Return to the Add Site Orientation screen by either tapping the appropriate job site or tapping Cancel in the top left corner to leave the Site Orientation field unchanged.
- Tap the + icon in the top right corner to add the Site Orientation.

3.Look Up Open Site Orientation |
|
Once in the Site Orientation section

- Tap the third tab on the menu, the Site Orientation view.
To Search Site Orientations: Pull down on the list view, the search is defaulted to search by date enter the date in following
format YYYY-MM-DD. The other option for the Site Orientation search job site name. Enter your search
criteria and click the Search button.
- Scroll the list of Site Orientations until the desired Site Orientation is displayed on the screen.

4.Edit Site Orientation Details |
|
The first step in completing a Site Orientation is completing the details of the orientation the date, and field staff employee whom conducted the site orientation.
Once on the Site Orientation you would like to Edit, on the details tab.
Steps
- Date: The date field allow field staff to choose the date and time the site orientation occurs.
- Tap the Date field to open the Choose Date screen.
- Scroll the date wheel on the far left of the screen until the desired date is highlighted.
- Return to the Edit Site Orientation screen by either tapping Save in the top right corner to select the highlighted date or tapping Cancel in the top left corner to leave the Date: field unchanged.
- Tap the Conducted By field to open the Choose Conducted By screen.
Employees are listed in descending order.
Note: The Employee who was logged in is added as the first employee on a site orientation. To add a different employee as the employee
whom conducted the site orientation field staff will need to be added to the site orientation for more information on adding field
staff to site orientations click here.
- Scroll the list of employees until the desired employee is displayed on the screen.
- Tap the desired employee to select it or tap Back in the top left corner to leave the Employee field unchanged and return to the Edit Site Orientation screen.
- Return to the Edit Site Orientation screen by either tapping the appropriate vehicle or tapping Cancel in the top left corner to leave the employee field unchanged.
- Safety Contact Email: The safety contact email field allows field staff to include the email address for a safety contact. The character limit of this field is 100.
If a safety contact email address is included in a site orientation, a email with a link to view the site orientation will be sent to the included email address.
- Tap Save in the top right corner to save any changes to the Site Orientation Details.
- A pop-up message that reads Site Orientation Details have been Saved indicates that the site orientation details have been saved.

5.Add Employee to Site Orientation |
|
Adding employees to the Site Orientation is crucial to reporting accurately. In order to have an accurate picture of the job site, adding employees to
the Site Orientation needed. Adding other field staff to the site orientation allows a group of workers to share the same site orientation.
Here are the steps on how to do it:
Once on the Site Orientation you would like to Edit
Steps
- Tap the Employees icon at the bottom of the screen to open the Employees screen.
- Tap the + icon in the top right corner to open the Employees list or tap Employees in the top left corner to return to the Employees screen.
Employees are listed in descending order of last name.
- Scroll the list of employees until the desired employee is displayed on the screen.
- If the desired employee is in the list, tap the employee to add them to the Site Orientation.
A pop-up message that reads Employee Added indicates that the employee is now listed on the Site Orientation Employees screen.
- If the desired employee is not in the list, tap Add Outside Employee in the top left corner of the screen to open the New Employee screen.
- First Name: The First Name field should indicate the legal given name of the employee. The character limit of this field is 25.
- Last Name: The Last Name field should indicate the legal surname of the employee. The character limit of this field is 25.
- Email: The Email field should indicate the best (i.e., most often used for business purposes) e-mail address for the employee. The character limit of this field is 25.
- Phone Number: The Phone Number field should indicate the best (i.e., most often used for business purposes) telephone number (land line or cellular) for the employee. The character limit of this field is 13.
- Company: The Company field should indicate the name of the company for which the employee works. The character limit of this field is 75.
- Tap Save in the top right corner of the screen to add the outside employee to the Site Orientation.

6.Add Employee Signature |
|
Each employee added to the Site Orientation must provide an electronic signature to indicate that they have been made aware of site orientation.
Once on the Site Orientation you would like to Edit
Steps
- Tap the Employees icon at the bottom of the screen to open the Employees screen.
- Scroll the list of employees until the desired employee is displayed on the screen.
- Tap the desired employee to select them and open the Edit Employee screen
- Have the selected employee sign in the white space beneath the Save New Signature Here label.
- Tap Save in the top right corner of the screen to update the Saved Signature field.
The saved signature will appear below the signature entry screen.

7.Delete Employee |

- Scroll the list of employees until the desired employee is displayed on the screen.
- Swipe from the right edge to the left to bring up the delete button for the employee.
- Tap the Delete button. The employee will be deleted.

that will not be covered in the rest of the orientation.

Once on the edit Safety Details Paragraph screen
Fields
- Review Status: The review status field allows field staff to mark that a safety details paragraph has been reviewed.
- Tap Yes on the |Yes|No|NA selector to indicate that paragraph has been reviewed. Field staff can tap NA to mark
the paragraph does not apply at this time.
- Sequence: The sequence field allows field staff to set the order of the paragraphs of the safety details section. Paragraphs can be
re ordered by changing the sequence values of paragraphs.
- Tap the + sign to increase the value of the sequence value of the paragraph.
- Tap the - sign to decrease the value of the sequence value of the paragraph.
- Name: The name field allows field staff to enter a name for the safety details. The Character limit of the field is 100.
- Paragraph: The paragraph field allows field staff to enter a description paragraph to the safety details. The Character limit of the field is 500.
- Tap the Save button on the top right corner, to edit the a safety details paragraph.

26.Delete Safety Details Paragraph |
Once on the Site Orientation you would like to view

- Tap on the third tab, the Orientation icon at the bottom of the screen to open the Orientation screen. The screen loads
opens in a readable copy of the site orientation document.
- Tap Edit in the top right corner of the screen to load the Site Orientation Document screen. The next screen loads with a list of
the 5 site orientation sections. Beside each section in blue will be the number of paragraphs to review.
- Tap the Safety Details button, which loads a list of the safety details paragraphs.
- Scroll the list of Safety Details Paragraphs until the desired paragraph is displayed on the screen.
- Swipe from the right edge to the left to bring up the delete button for the safety details paragraph.
- Tap the Delete button. The safety details paragraph will be deleted.

27.Add Introduction Paragraph |
|
The Safety Details section of the Site Orientation, should include information about important and specific safety concerns on the job site.
Including whmis review, site specific safety requirements and personal protective equipment are a few generic example, your company may have others.
Once on the Site Orientation you would like to view

|
Once on the Site Orientation you would like to Submit and the document has been reviewed and all participants have signed off, on the details tab.

32.Delete Site Orientation |

To Search Site Orientations: Pull down on the list view, the search is defaulted to search by date enter the date in following
format YYYY-MM-DD. The other option for the Site Orientation search job site name. Enter your search
criteria and click the Search button.
- Scroll the list of Site Orientations until the desired Site Orientation is displayed on the screen.

33.View Closed Site Orientation |
|
After Site Orientations have been closed out, they will be available to look at through the History view on the iPhone Application.
Once on the Site Orientation section

- Tap the third tab on the menu, the History tab of the main menu view. This loads with a list of the closed out
Site Orientations listing the the site orientation date in blue, job site name in black.
To Search Site Orientations: Pull down on the list view, the search is defaulted to search by date enter the date in following
format YYYY-MM-DD. The other option for the Site Orientation search job site name. Enter your search
criteria and click the Search button.
- Scroll the list of Site Orientations until the desired Site Orientation is displayed on the screen.
- Tap on the Site Orientation you would like to view. This loads the first tab, the site orientation document, which loads with the site
orientation date, job site name, and the employee whom conducted the site orientation at the top. Followed by all sections of the site orientation.
- Tap the second tab, the Site Orientation Participants lists the field staff names with their signature whom participated in the site orientation.

34.Update Site Orientations |
|
As other field staff and employee's perform site orientations the library of company site orientations for field staff to use will grow. Also as
field staff perform site orientations with other staff there will be a need for field staff to update their IPhone application.
Steps
- From the Menu screen, tap the Updates button.
- Scroll the list of sections until you find the Site Orientation button.
- Tap on the Site Orientation button.
