Customers

The customer section allows management to manage the customers that they do work for. After creating a customer you will be able to add job sites for that customer for their multiple job sites and work orders for work you perform on their job site.

Once work orders and job sites are created for customers SafetyNet"s main purpose takes over, Safety Statistics Tracking. As staff enter timecard entries and complete site inspections, site orientations, emergency response plans, hazard assessments, safety inspections, fire extinguisher inspections, first aid kit inspections, and safety investigations. Statistics for customer"s and their job sites will be tracked for specific months, years and overall.

1.Search Customer

Customers can be searched by a combination of active status, client type, province/state and country. Users can narrow search results by choosing any combination of the four search criteria.

All search results can be sorted by clicking on the results headings Customer Name, Client Type, Address 1, Address 2, City, Province/State, Country, Postal Code, Phone Number and Fax Number . Clicking on the same heading can do switching the results order from ascending to descending.

2.Delete Customer

Deleting customer may have to be done if the Customer was added to the system incorrectly. Only customers that have not had work orders created for them can be deleted.

To delete a customer click the 'Delete' link of the customer you want to delete.

3.Add Customer

Adding a customer will create a customer and the first job site for that customer. For more information about managing job sites click here. Also once a customer is created, safetynet users can create work orders for more information about managing work orders click here.

To add a Customer, click on the 'Add Customer' link.

On the next screen, under Add Customer heading:

Fields

Customer Name: The name of the customer your company is doing the work for. The character limit of this field is 75.

Client Type: Choose from commercial / industrial/residential. SafetyNet breaks down work between the three categories.

Phone: The phone number of the customer. The character limit of this field is 25 characters.

Fax: The fax number of the customer. The character limit of this field is 25.

Email The email address of the company contact. The character limit of this field is 50.

Address 1: The address of the customer. The character limit of this field is 50.

Address 2: A second address line for the customer. The character limit of this field is 40.

City: The name of the city the customer is located in. The character limit of this field is 40.

Province/State: The province or state that the customer is located in.*

Country: The country that the customer is located in.<*

Postal Code: A postal code for the customer. The character limit of this field is 25.

Site Contact Email: The site contact email field allows field staff to include the email address for a customer. The character limit of this field is 100.

Click the 'Save Customer ' button, to add the customer.

*To ensure we provide our customers with the proper guidance on matters of safety we restrict the countries, province/states we allow our customers to file safety paperwork for. We will strive to increase our service area as required. But only job sites located in the provinces/states that are in our service area will be allowed to have work orders created for them.

4.Look Up Customer

Once in the Customer section. Click on the name of the customer, this will load the edit customer view along with the customers associated safety statistics.

5.Edit Customer

Once on the edit customer section, under the Edit Customer heading:

Fields

Customer Name: The name of the customer your company is doing the work for. The character limit of this field is 75.

Active Status: The active status flag can be set to Active or In Active, only active customers can have job sites and work orders.

Site Contact Email: The site contact email field allows field staff to include the email address for a customer. The character limit of this field is 100.

Click the 'Save Customer ' button, to edit the customer.

Delete Customer

Once in the Customer section. Click on the 'delete' link of the customer you would like to delete. Only Customers without any work orders created for the customer can be deleted.
