Equipment Sign Out

The equipment sign out section allows clients to sign out and track the equipment being assign to vehicles and work orders of their company.

Safety Net Smartphone application allows field staff to sign out equipment in the field. For information about completing a equipment sign outs through the Smartphone click here.

Configuring how long Equipment can be Signed Out for

Companies can configure how long equipment can be signed out for. To configure in Safety Net how long equipment can be signed out for can be configured in the company safety settings.

Clients can edit how often equipment inspections should occur in the Company section when they edit the Company Safety settings. For more information about configuring your company safety settings in this manual click here to view the company section.

Configuring Equipment Sign Out Submission Email Alert

The company representative that receives a email from R & T Electric Pro, when a equipment sign out submission occurs is a function of who is set up to receive the Equipment Sign Out Submission. The person whom should receive this email, should probably be someone in management. To configure Safety Net for whom receives receives this email alert in the Company Email Alert section.

Management, Office Staff and Safety Officers can edit who should receive the Equipment Sign Out Submission email alert in the company email alert section. For more information about configuring your company email alerts in this web site manual click here to view the company email alert section.

Equipment Signout Report

Equipment Signout Reports are conducted to confirm the equipment signed out to either a work order or company vehicles are where they are suppose to be.

Configuring how long Equipment Signed Out Reports are to Occur

How often equipment sign out reports must occur is a function of your companies policy regarding equipment sign out reports. To configure Safety Net for how often equipment sign out reports should occur can be configured in the company safety settings.

1.Search Equipment to Sign Out

Equipment to sign out can be searched by a equipment type. Users can narrow search results by choosing a equipment type and clicking the search button.

All search results can be sorted by clicking on the results headings Equipment Code, Equipment Name, Equipment Description and Equipment Type. Clicking on the same heading can do switching the results order from ascending to descending.

2.Sign Out Equipment

To sign out a piece of Equipment, click on the 'Equipment Code' link, of the appropriate piece of equipment.

On the next screen, under Add Equipment Sign Out heading, select:

Fields

Employee: By selecting a employee* from the select box, whom is signing out the equipment, which loads with active company employees.

NOTED: On the Field Staff view field staff do not have the option of selecting a employee to check out the equipment they are automatically selected as the employee.

Date: The date is the day the equipment is signed out. The field is populated with the current date and requires a format of YYYY-MM-DD

Choose either a Work Order or Vehicle

Work Order: By selecting a work order to assign the equipment to from the select box, the user is indicating which job and job site the equipment will be located on.

Vehicle: By selecting a vehicle to assign the equipment to from the select box, the user is indicating which vehicle the equipment will be located in.

If a Vehicle is chosen, a sign out Status can be chosen

Sign Out Status: By selecting a Sign Out Status user can choose to either assign a piece of equipment or sign out a piece of equipment.

Assigned To: Assigned To equipment does not have to be returned to the shop and is being assigned to a vehicle.

Signed Out : Signed Out equipment does have to be returned to the shop or rechecked out after the appropriate number of days according to each companies policy with re guards to equipment sign out.

Then click the 'Save Equipment Sign Out' button.

3.Search Signed Out Equipment

Equipment signed out can be searched by a combination of equipment type, employee, either vehicle or work order assigned to and sign out status. Users can narrow search results by choosing any combination of the five search criteria.

All search results can be sorted by clicking on the results headings Equipment Code, Equipment Name, Equipment Type, Sign Out Date, Employee Name, Work Order, Vehicle and Sign Out Status. Clicking on the same heading can do switching the results order from ascending to descending.

4.Edit Signed Out Equipment

To edit signed out Equipment, click on the 'Edit Work Order/Vehicle' link of the signed out equipment you would to edit.

On the next screen, under Edit Equipment Sign Out heading,

5.Return Signed Out Equipment

To return the signed out Equipment, click on the 'Return to Shop' link of the signed out equipment you would like to return.

5.Recheck Out Signed Out Equipment

To recheck out the signed out Equipment, click on the 'Sign Out Again' link of the signed out equipment you would like to sign out again.
