Equipment

The equipment section allows clients to create and track the equipment of their company.

Equipment Signout

Company equipment can be signed out to work orders or company vehicles. Equipment signed out to vehicle can be signed out or assigned to that vehicle.

Clients can sign out equipment in the equipment sign out section. For more information about equipment sign out your in this manual click here to view the equipment sign out section.

Configuring how long Equipment can be Signed Out for

Companies can configure how long equipment can be signed out for. To configure in Safety Net how long equipment can be signed out for can be configured in the company safety settings.

Clients can edit how often equipment inspections should occur in the Company section when they edit the Company Safety settings. For more information about configuring your company safety settings in this manual click here to view the company section.

Equipment Signout Report

Equipment Signout Reports are conducted to confirm the equipment signed out to either a work order or company vehicles are where they are suppose to be.

Clients can complete equipment sign out report in the equipment sign out report section. For more information about equipment sign out report in this manual click here to view the equipment sign out report section.

Configuring how long Equipment Signed Out Reports are to Occur

How often equipment sign out reports must occur is a function of your companies policy regarding equipment sign out reports. To configure Safety Net for how often equipment sign out reports should occur can be configured in the company safety settings.

Clients can edit how often equipment sign out reports should occur in the Company section when they edit the Company Safety settings. For more information about configuring your company safety settings in this manual click here to view the company section.

1.Search Equipment

Equipment can be searched by a equipment type. Users can narrow search results by choosing a equipment type and clicking the search button.

All search results can be sorted by clicking on the results headings Equipment Code, Equipment Name, Equipment Type, Serial Number, Purchase Price, and Service Status. Clicking on the same heading can do switching the results order from ascending to descending.

Clicking on the 'View History' link will show the user the maintenance history of the selected piece of equipment.

Clicking on the 'View Equipment History' link will show the user the equipment sign out history of the selected piece of equipment.

2.Delete Equipment

Deleting equipment may have to be done if the equipment was added to the system incorrectly. Only equipment that has not been referenced in a equipment sign out report, signed out or had a maintenance report pulled for it can be deleted.

To delete a equipment click the 'Delete' link of the equipment you want to delete.

3.Add Equipment

To add a Equipment, click on the 'Add Equipment' link.

On the next screen, under Add Equipment heading, select:

Fields

Equipment Name: The equipment name field allows the companies to add a equipment name. The character limit of the field is 75.

Equipment Description: The equipment description field allows the companies to add a equipment description for the equipment. The character limit of the field is 250.

Equipment Code: The equipment code field allows the companies to add a equipment code for the equipment. The character limit of the field is 25.

Purchase Price: The purchase price field allows companies to track the purchase price of the piece of equipment.

Serial Number: The serial number field allows the companies to add a serial number for the equipment. The character limit of the field is 25.

Equipment Type: By selecting a equipment type from the select box, which loads with equipment type(s) a company has added for themselves.

Then click the 'Add Equipment ' button. The edit equipment screen will load. From here, proceed to edit as per the instructions below.

4.Look up Equipment

To get to the edit screen of a equipment, click on the name of the equipment that you would like to edit.

5.Edit Equipment

Once the edit equipment screen

Fields

Equipment Name: The equipment name field allows the companies to edit a equipment name. The character limit of the field is 75.

Equipment Description: The equipment description field allows the companies to edit a equipment description for the equipment. The character limit of the field is 250.

Equipment Code: The equipment code field allows the companies to edit a equipment code for the equipment. The character limit of the field is 25.

Serial Number: The serial number field allows the companies to edit a serial number for the equipment. The character limit of the field is 25.

Equipment Type: By selecting a equipment type from the select box, which loads with equipment type(s) a company has added for themselves.

Service: By selecting a service status from the select box, which loads with in service and out of service.

Purchase Price: The purchase price field allows companies to track the purchase price of the piece of equipment.

Click the 'Save Equipment' button to ensure that any information changed is saved in the system.
